Approve an order

Close an order once you are happy with the photos, what stays available afterwards, and what happens if you never get around to it.

Approving an order tells us the work is done. It is the last step of an order, and it is not a point of no return: your files stay where they are, and you can still send the order back for one more revision for 14 days.

Before you start

Approve & close only appears while the order is Ready for your review. If you cannot see it, the order is in another status — an editor is still working, or the order is closed already. Look through the delivered photos first; see Review the result.

Steps

Open the order

From Orders in the top bar — orders waiting for your approval are collected under the Reviewing tab.

Click Approve & close

The green button sits at the right end of the order header, on the same line as the order name. There is no “are you sure” step: the button reads Approving… for a moment and the order closes.

Read the confirmation

A box confirms Thanks! Your order is now closed. and reminds you that your files stay available for download, and that you can send the order back for a revision within the next 14 days. Back to the order returns you to the photos.

What happens next

  • The order shows Closed and moves to the Closed tab of your order list.
  • Your edited photos stay on the Edited tab and can be downloaded as before, one by one or as a whole version.
  • For 14 days after closing, the card on the order reads This order is closed and explains that you can still send it back. Each photo offers + Add revision note, and the revision checkbox stays available on the Messages tab. Using either reopens the order as Being revised.
  • After those 14 days the order stays closed and the card disappears. You are still welcome to write to us about it — see the revision policy for what is covered.

If you never approve

You do not have to approve anything. An order that stays Ready for your review closes on its own 14 days after the photos were delivered, exactly as if you had approved it — the files stay downloadable and the 14-day revision window applies in the same way. The count runs from the delivery, not from when you last opened the order; requesting a revision stops it, because the order is no longer waiting for your review.
