Sign-in and security
Where you sign in to the Client Portal, how long a session lasts, what the Session expired dialog means, and how to sign out.
Everything you do with Tucia happens in the Client Portal at app.tucia.com, and the portal sits behind one sign-in on our main site. This page explains how that sign-in works, how long it lasts, and what to expect when it runs out.
Where you sign in
You always sign in at tucia.com/login. The page, Log in to your account, offers two ways in:
- Sign in with Google, if your account uses a Google address.
- Email address and Password, then Log in.
When it succeeds you are taken to app.tucia.com — the portal shows Signing you in for a moment — and you land on your orders. The portal has no sign-in page of its own: any link into app.tucia.com that finds you signed out sends you to tucia.com/login first and brings you back to that page afterwards.
How long you stay signed in
Remember me on the sign-in form decides how long the session lasts:
| Remember me | Your session lasts |
|---|---|
| Ticked | 30 days |
| Not ticked | 12 hours |
It starts unticked. Tick it on your own computer; leave it unticked on a shared or public one.
When a session ends while you are working
If your session runs out while a page is open, the portal shows a small dialog:
Session expired — Your sign-in session has expired. Redirecting to the login page in 5s.
The countdown runs from 5 to 0 and then takes you to tucia.com/login. Sign in again goes there immediately. Sign in and you come back to the page you were on.
Nothing you had already saved is lost. Photos, instructions and notes in an order you are preparing are saved as you go, so the draft is waiting for you when you return.
Signing out
Select your initials at the right end of the top bar. The menu shows your name and email address, links to our Help center, Contact us, Examples and Pricing, and Sign out at the bottom. Signing out ends the session on that device, takes you back to tucia.com, and shows You have signed out.
Signing out your other devices
There is no list of signed-in devices in the portal and no separate “sign out everywhere” button. Changing your password is how you sign out every other device at once: as the Security tab puts it, Changing your password signs you out of app.tucia.com on your other devices. The device you change it on stays signed in. See Change your password.
How your password is kept
From the Security tab:
Your password is protected by industry-standard encryption, both in transit and at rest. We never store it in a readable form and no one at Tucia can see it.
That is also why nobody at Tucia will ever ask you for your password. If a message claiming to be from us asks for it, it is not from us — forward it to support@tucia.com.
Team members
People you invite on the Team tab sign in on the same page with their own email address and password, or with Google. They get the same session lengths. See Team members.
