Delete photos
Remove a photo from an order you have not paid for yet, delete a whole draft, or ask us to delete photos from an order you have already placed.
You can remove photos yourself while the order is still a draft — that is, before you pay. Once an order has been placed, deletion goes through us: write to support and we take care of it.
Before you start
- Removing photos yourself works only on a draft, an order you have not paid for. Your drafts are under Drafts in the top bar (it only appears while you have at least one), and each one shows the status Draft.
- Removing a photo also removes its notes and marked areas. A photo to edit takes its credit with it, so the Total in the Order summary goes down by 1 credit; a reference image was free anyway.
- Photos are removed one at a time. There is no multi-select.
Steps
Open the draft
Click Drafts in the top bar and click the draft’s name. A draft opens in its order workspace with all your photos, groups and notes, exactly as you left them.
Remove one photo
Every photo card has a ✕ in its top-right corner. Click it — or hover the card, open ⋯ at the bottom right and choose Delete photo (Removes it from this project).
The workspace asks first: Delete this photo? — IMG_2031.jpg (6.1 MB) will be removed from this project, along with its notes and marked areas. This can’t be undone. Click Delete and the card disappears with the message IMG_2031.jpg removed. If something goes wrong you see Could not remove the photo and the photo stays.
Or delete the whole draft
The workspace itself has no delete button for the order. Go to Drafts in the top bar: each draft row has a trash button on the right. Your browser asks to confirm — Delete draft #k41rd? Photos uploaded to it will be removed. — and the row disappears with Draft deleted.
See Delete a draft order for the details.
Ask us for anything already placed
A placed or closed order has no delete button, by design: those photos are the ones we are working on or have delivered. Email support@tucia.com from the address your account uses and tell us what to remove.
Rules and limits
- Photos can only be removed while the order is a draft. Once you have paid, the workspace closes for editing and opening it takes you to the order page instead, which has no delete button: your photos are with an editor.
- Deleting a photo cannot be undone. Its notes and marked areas go with it.
- Deleting a draft removes the whole order: as the confirmation says, the photos uploaded to it will be removed. It cannot be undone.
- Within 15 minutes of paying you can still cancel the order yourself; it goes back to your drafts with its photos, and from there you can remove photos again. See Cancel an order.
- Anything you add to an order after it has been placed is a reference image, and it stays with the order until we remove it for you.
Deleting everything, or closing your account
You can ask us to delete all your uploaded and edited photos, or to close your account entirely. Write to support@tucia.com from the email address on your account and include your three most recent order numbers so we can confirm it is you. Deletion is permanent and usually confirmed within 24 hours.
The full procedure is in the FAQ: Can I delete my photos or close my account?
