Change your email address
Ask for a new sign-in address on the Email tab, confirm the change from both mailboxes, and read the page each confirmation link opens.
Your email address is what you sign in with and where every order notification goes, so changing it takes a confirmation from both mailboxes: the address you use today and the new one.
Before you start
- You can open both mailboxes. If you have lost access to the old one, write to support@tucia.com instead.
- The new address is not already used by another Tucia account. Such an address is refused with
There is already an account using this email address.
Select Settings in the top bar, then the Email tab. The page is headed Email address and has one section, Change your email address: Your sign-in address and where every order notification goes.
Steps
Ask for the change
The panel shows your Current email on the left and a New email address box on the right, with the hint You can request this once every 24 hours.
Type the new address. Send confirmation links turns green once it is a full email address that differs from your current one. The bar next to it reads We will send a link to your current address and to the new one. Both must be opened.
Select Send confirmation links. The toast Check both inboxes to finish the change confirms that both emails are on their way.
Open both links
The section is replaced by Email change waiting for confirmation: We sent a link to both addresses. Open both to finish the change — the order does not matter.
It lists both addresses, Current address and New address. Each reads Waiting with an amber dot until its link is opened, then Confirmed with a green dot. At the bottom, Expires in … counts down to the deadline.
Sign in with the new address
When the second link is opened, the change is done. The page that opens says Your email address has been updated — You now sign in with your new address — with a Go to my account button.
The two emails
| Sent to | Subject | Button |
|---|---|---|
| Your current address | Tucia - Confirm Your Email Change Request |
Confirm email change |
| The new address | Tucia - Verify Your Email Change |
Verify this email address |
Both emails say which address you are moving from and to, that both have to be confirmed, and that each link works once and for 24 hours. If you receive the first one and did not ask for a change, do not open the link, and consider changing your password.
The page each link opens
Both links open a page of their own on app.tucia.com. They work on any device, you do not have to be signed in, and opening them does not sign you in.
| What the page says | What it means |
|---|---|
Confirming your email change |
The link is being checked. It lasts a moment. |
One more step |
This side is confirmed. The page tells you which email to open next: Thanks — now open the email we sent to your new address to finish. (or …to your current address to finish.) |
Your email address has been updated |
Both sides are confirmed and the change is done. Go to my account takes you back to the portal. |
This link has expired |
The request is more than 24 hours old. Start a new request takes you back to the Email tab. |
This link is not valid |
The link was mistyped, cut in half by your email program, or already used. Go to email settings takes you back to the Email tab. |
While a change is waiting
The waiting panel replaces the form, so you cannot start a second change on top of the first. There is no button to cancel a request. If you asked for the wrong address, leave the links unopened; once the countdown ends the panel reads Expired · …, and when 24 hours have passed since your request you can ask for the right address.
Rules and limits
- Both links expire 24 hours after you ask for the change, and each works once.
- You can ask for an email change once every 24 hours.
- The order does not matter: the new address can confirm before the old one.
- An address already used by another Tucia account is refused.
- Nothing changes until both links are opened. Until then you keep signing in with your current address.
What happens next
Your new address becomes your sign-in address and the one we send order notifications to. Nothing else on your account changes: your orders, your credits and your files stay where they are.
Addresses under Notify teammates on the General tab are separate and are not affected. If you left Billing email empty in your receipt details, your receipts now show the new address.
